Can You Name Three Things God Can't Do?

Name Three Things God Can't DoWe have a tabletop display that has three doors. A red door. A blue door. And a yellow door. Above the doors is a question: "Can you name three things God can't do?"

What is behind each door?

The information behind each door is in English and Spanish.

Door #1 - The Red Door

God Cannot Lie. You can trust His promises.

Titus 1:2
“In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;”

Name three things God can't do.Door #2 - The Blue Door

God cannot be unjust. We will be judged and there will be justice. God cannot overlook our sins.

Isaiah 30:18
“Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you, and therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; how blessed are all those who long for Him.”

Genesis 18:25
"Far be it from You to do such a thing, to lay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous and the wicked are treated alike. Far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth deal justly?"

Door #3 - The Yellow Door

God can't let sinners into heaven.

1 John 1:5-7
“This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”

Are you a sinner? Have you broken any of God's laws?

Lying - Stealing - Lust - Anger - Blasphemy - Not Honoring Your Parents - Coveting - Idolatry - Not Having God As #1 In Your Life

The third door leads to a discussion of sin, and Jesus having paid our penalty for sin. Ask people who read the yellow door whether they have done any of the things listed. Ask a question such as: "What do you think? What will happen after you die?"

Getting People To Start Opening The Three Doors

When you notice someone looking at the three door display, invite them to open the red door. Some people, when left on their own, will start with the blue or yellow door and won't get the full message.
